7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS
MOSLEM PILGRIMS TOUR

 

Day 1:       Arrival at airport, meeting, assistance and transfer to Jerusalem. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel for rest.

                  Afternoon: First visit to Masjed el Aksa for afternoon prayer.  Dinner and overnight at the Holy Land East hotel or similar 3 stars.

 

Day 2:       After breakfast, drive to the Mount of Olives with a breathtaking view over the Holy city. Visit the mosque of Ascension, the place from which Sidna Issa ascended to Heaven. View the mukams of Rabia El Adawiyeh and Suleiman El Farisi. At the foot of the Mount of Olives is the Garden and the Church of Gethsemane. This is the place Sidna Issa frequented very often.

Enter the Old City for noon prayer at Al Haram El Sharif. This is the first Kibla and the third Haram in importance for Islam.

In the afternoon, walking tour in the old walled city of Jerusalem, walk through its bazaars, visiting the Moroccan Quarter and its important monuments such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the most venerated Church for Christians. Return to the hotel.

                   Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3:       After breakfast, drive to Hebron (Khalil El Ruhman). Visit the Ibrahimi Mosque containing the Tombs of the Patriarchs: Abraham, Ishak and Jacob as well as those of Sarah, Rebekah and Leah. On the way back, view Solomon's Pools before arriving in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Sidna Issa. Visit the tomb of Rachel. 

Back to Jerusalem, stop on Mount Zion to see the tomb of Nebi Daoud (David). Return to the hotel.

                  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

          

Day 4:       Drive to Nebi Samuel in the outskirts of Jerusalem. Visit and continue to Ramla. An Umayyad city built by Caliph Suleiman, son of Abu Al Malik, in 716. It was the principal city and capital of the country until the arrival of the Crusaders. After the Crusaders, it retained its position under the Mameluks and the Turks. Visit the Great Mosque, see the tower of Ramla, known as the Tower of the Forty Companions of the Prophet, its construction was begun by Bibars in 1267 and

completed by Sultan Nazir Mohammed Ibn Kalaun in 1318. See the White Mosque built by the Umayyad Caliph Suleiman in 716. Visit the  Tomb of Nebi Saleh. Then to Jaffa, a port-city on the Mediterranean. Visit the Mahmudiyeh Mosque and the Mosque of Simon the Tanner. See the Watch-Tower and continue to Tel Aviv for as panoramic tour. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5:       After breakfast, drive to mukam Nebi Mousa. Visit and continue to Jericho, the oldest inhabited town on earth, situated at 250 meters below sea level. Visit the Umayyad Palace of the Caliph Hisham Ibn Abd El Malik (724-743). Proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth and the saltiest of all Seas. The Dead Sea is also known as: Bahr Lout (The Sea of Lot). It is in this area that God destroyed the sinners in the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Through the Jordan Valley and Beit Shean to Nazareth.

Dinner and overnight in Nazareth or Tiberias.

 

Day 6:       Visit Nazareth, the place of the Announciation by the Angel Gabriel to Sittna Mariam and  Sidna Yousef. See the Fountain of Sittna Mariam and the carpentry shop of Sidna Yousef. Continue via the Horns of Hittin, to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. Visit around the Lake sites related to the public life and of Sidna Issa. Continue to Acre, the town that surrendered to Saladin after the battle of Hittin in 1187. Acre fell in decay after its fall in 1291 to Sultan Melek Al Ashraf. Later on, in 1749, the town flourished under Sheikh Daher El Omar. Visit the Mosque of El Jazzar (the butcher). Proceed to Haifa, the capital of the north with the chief port on the Mediterranean. Visit the Bahai Temple. On Mount Carmel, an excellent view of the bay as well as the cave of the Prophet Elijah. Nearby is a smaller grotto known as the Mosque of  El Khader (the green, the immortal). Drive to Kababir, the village of the Ahmadiye sect, visit the mosque and the school. Continue along the Carmel ridge through Druze Villages: Isfiya, Daliat El Carmel to Muhraka, the place of the Sacrifice. Taking the main road drive via Atlit and parallel to the coast line to Caesarea built by Herod on the site of the Phoenician town of Straton's Tower. Caesarea was destroyed by Bibars. In 1884 a few Moslem families from Bosnia settled it. The road continues through Netanya and Tel Aviv and back to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

  

Day 7:      Transfer to airport for departure.
